OUR VISION & MISSION

The goal of the investors is to continue the longstanding tradition and rich history of the Serbian film industry by introducing new technologies and modernizing core operations in order to put Serbia and Belgrade ‘back on the map’ and revive its former glory.

In 2016 Avala Film celebrated its 70th anniversary which is a significant milestone in its history and development. It provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our rich past, and look forward to an exciting future, as we continue to develop on the contemporary film industry market.

The goal of the investors is to continue the longstanding tradition and rich history of the Serbian film industry by introducing new technologies and modernizing core operations in order to put Serbia and Belgrade ‘back on the map’ and revive its former glory.

Technology of the Avala Film Complex is obsolete, and ethic outdated, as there have been no investments for more than 20 years. In order to be applied in the nearest future, The Master Plan for revitalization and reconstruction of the entire complex is under development. This implies a complete reconstruction of the infrastructure (MEP etc.) as well as the comprehensive development plan for the construction of new studio buildings with the total area of up to 10 000 m2. An accompanying administrative plan is also included, and it involves the provision of necessary documentation in accordance with legal regulations together with government approvals.

Upon acquiring all the necessary resources, our mission is to become a top-notch film company on the Eastern European film industry market and recognized as a brand with high-tech production facilities both for film and advertising that include best available building technologies. This will set the scene for bringing international production companies in Belgrade and open the world of opportunities for Serbia as a country with spectacular landscapes, eminent professionals and experts in this field, as well as great film connoisseurs and fans.

Having been a part of the team that successfully managed Barrandov Studios, the leading film studio in Central and Eastern Europe, Mr. Vladimir Kuba is one of the most prominent members of our team and one of the people who has established a new structure. Mr. Kuba has been successfully presenting the plan of our project and promoting Belgrade as one of the newly discovered locations for filmmaking.

Last year Serbian government joined the group of Balkan countries that introduced incentives for advertising and film industry. This will undoubtedly make Belgrade one of the most favorable European locations in this field. Thus, it is absolutely vital to restore studio buildings and facilities to its former glory since their current condition and capacities prevent us from expanding this area and bringing the Serbian film industry back on track.

From an economic point of view, there are multiple benefits of such projects. According to projections, one euro spent on a filmmaking or advertising would generate a revenue of five euros for all services, core and peripheral, that would be included in the film and advertising projects (rental of facilities, transport, part-time employees and different types of teams, tourist services, etc.).
